Darwin is the capital city of Australia’s Northern Territory.

It is situated on the Timor Sea and has developed from a frontier city to one of the most modern.
Due to its location, close to South East Asia it is an important port and a cultural epicentre.

Darwin’s major industries are tourism and mining.

The city offers a bustling downtown centre with great shopping, restaurants and even a crocodile park (Crocosaurus Cove) located in the heart of the city. A must see when stopping in. Another must-see is the Mindil Beach Sunset Market. Open on Thursdays and Sundays and this is a terrific place to eat a great variety of food, shop till you drop and watch the sunset.

Darwin experienced a setback during World War Two due to air raids and again in the 1970s from cyclone destruction.
However, the destruction has forced the city to develop and prosper as one of the more modern and advanced metropolitans in Australia.
